About this game

In this top-down shooter & dungeon crawler you’re a sorcerer's apprentice who can change between elements and perform their magic attacks. Instead of the traditional health bar & mana combo, we combine them. Making the game as much about resource management as it is countering. Switching between your elemental modes is pivotal in order to counter, shield, and survive. 


Backstory

The magical world is in shock. Suddenly, things don’t work like they used to. You and your trusty mentor head on a journey looking for some answers and find a dungeon that reeks of chaotic magical energy. This must be where the chaos is coming from.

The dungeon was filled with peculiar magical creatures. When you defeat one of them you change, the strange chaotic magic fills your veins and you feel the power of the three elements. Now you can easily control and shield against the elemental beings. But will you be able to bring back order to the world or will the chaos grow stronger and lay waste to you and the world you once knew? 


Controls

You move with WASD or Arrow keys

You aim with your mouse and shoot with the right and left click

Right click: Basic Attack

Left click:  Magical Attack

You switch elemental modes with

1: Fire

2: Earth

3: Water

or with the scroll wheel


Fire --(burns)--> Earth  

Earth --(drains)--> Water  

Water --(extinguishes)--> Fire

A nice wee game. Nothing too complex, nice core mechanics. I occasionally found that the hitbox of objects wasn't quite where the image was, which was a little annoying, but... A solid job for a first game!
